Following the public release of tickets on December 1st 2015 there has been a significant increase in demand for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2016. Next year looks to follow in suit with the previous 17 years and sellout in record time.

Canberra Highland Dancer to Perform at Melbourne Military Tattoo

25 year old Jessica Girvan of Canberra will be performing at next years Melbourne Military Tattoo. She has already competed at The Australian Highland Games and last year competed at the World Championships in Scotland. All Southern- Hemisphere Semi-Finals

As Scotland come to terms with their Rugby World Cup Quarter-Final exit, we look forward to the all Southern-Hemisphere Semi-Finals.

After an impressive demolition of France in the quarters, New Zealand will want to ascertain their dominance in this competition against an immensely physical South African side. The kiwi coach has given his team extra motivation by claiming South Africa want to “Rip off our heads!”

The other semi-final between Australia and Argentina is almost guaranteed to have running rugby from start-to-finish. Both teams like to play with width and imagination so should an absolute cracker of a match.

The only question that remains is…

Michael’s Rugby World Cup 2015 Blog: South Africa 34 Scotland 16

The Springboks silenced all their critics with a brutally powerful performance against an improving Scottish side. South Africa dominated proceedings from start to finish with the young lock, Lood de Jager leading from the front.

Although the on-field performance was not exactly what I was hoping for, the stadium and atmosphere certainly made up for it. The South African support was outstanding with near enough equal Boks to Jocks in attendance. Our seats were brilliant and we had a great view of the pitch and got a real feel for the intensity of the game.

Our hotel, Staybridge Suites, provided an ideal location from which we could explore the rest of the city. Located only a short walk from Quayside, staff were friendly and helpful and the parking available was a bonus!

All in all a great weekend had by everyone and an experience I won’t forget. Click on the picture above to see what life is like within the South African Rugby World Cup Squad.
